Three killed, 36 injured in accidents and fires across Syria
Damascus, Aug. 14 (SANA)Three people were killed and 36 others injured intraffic accidentsand fires across Syria over the past 24 hours,the Syrian Civil Defensesaid Friday.Civil Defense teams responded to 20 traffic accidents that left two people dead and 34 civilians injured, according to a statement posted on Telegram.
Teams provided first aid, transported the injured to hospitals and secured the accident sites, the statement said.
Civil Defense crews also responded to 104 fires, including three involving agricultural fields and crops. Other fires affected homes, shops, grass, trees, waste and electrical wiring.
One person was killed and two civilians injured in the fires, while other damage was limited to property, the Civil Defense said.The Civil Defense urged the public not to light fires in forests oragricultural areasand warned against discarding cigarette butts or glass containers along roads, particularly near crops and wooded areas. It also advised against burning dry grass near homes and roads.
