I spoke this Thursday (13), via videoconference, with the President of Mexico, @Claudiashein, to discuss the bilateral relationship and exchange views on the regional and international context.
We welcome the good progress of negotiations between Petrobras and PEMEX following the memorandum of understanding signed in June and express the expectation that joint projects between the two companies will begin soon.
I reaffirmed the strategic importance of our bilateral partnership and reiterated our interest in following through on the negotiation schedule agreed during Vice President Geraldo Alckmin's visit to Mexico last year.
I celebrated the reestablishment of diplomatic relations between Mexico and Peru, saluting the importance of dialogue between Latin American countries. We regret the catastrophes that occurred in Venezuela and Colombia and the humanitarian crisis in Cuba.
I sent Janja's proposal to President Sheinbaum to launch an international initiative against feminicide, which was well received by the president. We reaffirm our defense of multilateralism and our support for Michelle Bachelet's candidacy for the position of UN Secretary General.
We welcome the good moment experienced by both countries, which have demonstrated resilience in the face of the challenges imposed by the international context, and we commit to continuing high-level contacts to advance on topics of interest to our two nations.

Saudamos o bom andamento das tratativas entre a Petrobras e a PEMEX após memorando de entendimento assinado em junho e expressamos a expectativa de que projetos conjuntos entre as duas empresas se iniciem em breve. Reafirmei a importância estratégica de nossa parceria bilateral e reiterei nosso interesse de dar seguimento ao cronograma de negociações acordado durante a visita do Vice-Presidente Geraldo Alckmin ao México, no ano passado. Celebrei o restabelecimento das relações diplomáticas entre México e Peru, saudando a importância do diálogo entre países da América Latina. Lamentamos as catástrofes ocorridas na Venezuela e na Colômbia e a crise humanitária em Cuba. Transmiti à presidenta Sheinbaum proposta da Janja de lançar iniciativa internacional contra o feminicídio, que foi bem recebida pela presidenta. Reafirmamos a defesa do multilateralismo e nosso apoio à candidatura de Michelle Bachelet ao cargo de Secretária-Geral da ONU. Saudamos o bom momento vivido pelos dois países, que têm demonstrado resiliência frente aos desafios impostos pelo contexto internacional, e nos comprometemos a dar sequência aos contatos de alto nível para avançar em temas de interesse às nossas duas nações.
