Ministro Orillac destaca labor de Abou Saad Shriners en favor de la niñez
The Minister of the Presidency, Juan Carlos Orillac, expressed his recognition of the work for children carried out by the Abou Saad Shriners Panama Foundation in an event where, through Shriners Hospitals for Children, they sealed an alliance with The Panama Clinic for the care of children with burns or pediatric orthopedic cases.
Orillac, who was accompanied by his wife, highlighted that, as a country, initiatives like this must be valued and supported, with the goal that the health of children not only represents a responsibility of the present, but also constitutes an investment in the future of Panama.
"I express my recognition to all the people who made this agreement possible and, most especially, to those who will have the responsibility of turning it into concrete results for our children. May this alliance be the beginning of many joint projects and may each benefited child be the best testimony of the value of this effort," he highlighted.
Likewise, he recognized The Panama Clinic for its commitment to reaching this agreement, since behind each treatment or diagnosis there is a child who deserves an opportunity and a family waiting for an answer.
Before the words, there was an emotional moment when three young people—Stefano (Punki), Carlota and Juan Pablo—, patients supported by the foundation, told their stories and how they have managed to have a second chance at life after their operations and treatments. Orillac presented them as examples of improvement and described their testimonies as the reason to continue working for children.
For their part, Paul Concepción, Dr. Leslie Stewart and Larry Leib spoke about the stages of this foundation since its conception and the support to more than a million children and their families who have faced difficult clinical situations, while Ricaurte Arrocha explained the work of this institution in Panama. Meanwhile, Mark Hartz (Imperial Chief Rabban) of Shriner International and Theodore Constantinau, CEO of The Panama Clinic, sealed the agreement to continue this work that reflects vocation, service, solidarity and, above all, all, a deep commitment to the well-being of our children and their families.

Que esta alianza sea el inicio de muchos proyectos conjuntos y que cada niño beneficiado sea el mejor testimonio del valor de este esfuerzo”, destacó. De igual manera, reconoció a The Panama Clinic por el compromiso de alcanzar este acuerdo, ya que detrás de cada tratamiento o diagnóstico hay un niño que merece una oportunidad y una familia que espera una respuesta. Previo a las palabras, se vivió un emotivo momento cuando tres jóvenes —Stefano (Punki), Carlota y Juan Pablo—, pacientes apoyados por la fundación, relataron sus historias y cómo han logrado tener una segunda oportunidad en la vida tras sus operaciones y tratamientos. Orillac los presentó como ejemplos de superación y calificó sus testimonios como la razón de seguir trabajando por la niñez.
