<The ‘Korea’ you protected, the ‘nation’ where we will blossom>
The freedom and peace we enjoy, and the daily life that allows us to dream of a better tomorrow, are not given to us automatically. The Republic of Korea exists today because there were people who willingly gave up their lives and made sacrifices whenever the country was in crisis.
We remember the hard work of those who protected the country despite the pain of war and division, those who silently devoted themselves to their positions without name, and the veterans' families who persevered and supported them for a long time.
We join the hearts of all citizens in expressing our deep gratitude and respect for the noble sacrifices of those who have served our country and their families. We promise to pay more attention to you so that you can receive proper treatment and live with pride.
The Republic of Korea that you protected will now blossom into a country we can be even more proud of. I will never forget the sweat and tears of everyone who made Korea what it is today.
