Typhoon No. 15 is moving northwest in the east of Japan and will approach the southern Tohoku region and northern Kanto tomorrow, the 11th, with the possibility of making landfall.
On the Pacific side of the Tohoku region, please be on high alert for landslides caused by heavy rain from before noon to late at night on the 11th, and be on guard against flooding of low-lying areas, rising water levels, and flooding of rivers.
In addition, please be on guard for damage to buildings and traffic disruptions due to strong winds from the morning of the 11th to the evening of the 11th, and damage to ships and coastal facilities due to high waves accompanied by swells at sea from noon to late evening on the 11th.
Furthermore, in the Kanto-Koshin region, please be careful of high waves, flooding of low-lying land, and rising and flooding rivers from around noon on the 11th until late at night.
The government is gathering information through the "Information Liaison Office" established at the Crisis Management Center of the Prime Minister's Office.
Additionally, we will strengthen our systems as necessary and take all possible measures to ensure crisis management.
