During a meeting with representatives of mountain communities, we discussed the challenges and prospects for the development of mountain areas. I am grateful to every community that has welcomed Ukrainian businesses and people, supports the economy, and helps the front. I spoke about preparations for the “Carpathian Integration Initiative” Summit, and I hope that communities, especially local ones, will take advantage of this opportunity and be represented there. We also discussed issues that are important at the local level – taxation of the forestry sector and the tourist tax, road development and funding, providing communities with the necessary vehicles, and optimizing the school network.

I instructed the Prime Minister and the ministers of finance, community development, and infrastructure to work with communities to assess the capacity of local budgets and conduct a logistics audit so that public services and institutions are accessible to everyone in Ukraine, including in remote mountain regions. I thank everyone who attends to the needs of their communities and their people, who genuinely cares and works for Ukraine.
