We took control of Quito's video surveillance to put it where it should always be: at the service of the National Police and the security of the people of Quito, not spy networks.

It needs coordination, decision and response capacity. In this fight against organized crime there will be no room for improvisation, inaction or indifference. We are going to use all the technology available to go after those who threaten the tranquility of the people of Quito. From today, each camera will have a specific mission: to prevent, react and help capture. Because Quito's security cannot wait.
