The President of the Republic, José Antonio Kast, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Francisco Pérez Mackenna, received this Wednesday at the La Moneda Palace the Credential Letters of twelve concurrent ambassadors accredited to the State of Chile. During the ceremony representatives of Georgia, Botswana, Guinea, Cyprus, Ivory Coast, Slovakia, Kuwait, Ethiopia, Mauritania, Oman, Cambodia and Bangladesh presented their credentials, countries belonging to different regions of Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the Caucasus and Asia. Credential Letters correspond to the official document through which a Head of State accredits an ambassador as his representative to another country. Its presentation to the President of the Republic formalizes the recognition of the diplomatic representative, and allows him to fully exercise his functions before the receiving State. The ceremony also constitutes an instance to reaffirm the bilateral relations of Chile and strengthen spaces for political, economic, commercial, cultural and cooperation dialogue with different countries, including those that maintain concurrent diplomatic representation and do not necessarily have an embassy resident in Santiago. The ambassadors who presented their Letters of Credence were Gvaram Khandamishvili, from Georgia; Benetia Tumelo Chingapane, from Botswana; Ibrahima Komara, from Guinea; Stylianos Georgiades, from Cyprus; Diamoutene Alassane Zié, from Ivory Coast; Milan Zachar, from Slovakia; Abdulaziz Mohammad Albisher, from Kuwait; Leulseged Tadese Abebe, from Ethiopia; Ahmed Moctar Bouceif, from Mauritania; Abdulghaffar Albuluschi, from Oman; Prak Nguon Hong, from Cambodia; and Tauhedul Islam, from Bangladesh.
