Infotep y Capex fortalecen competencias tecnológicas de jóvenes que se desempeñan en el sector productivo
Santiago.-A group of 160 young people from the Northern region strengthened their skills after completing the Future Entrepreneurs 2026 Technological Development Program, with training in the development of applications with artificial intelligence and introduction to cybersecurity.
The new graduates received their certificates during an event held in the theater of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), in Santiago, with the participation of representatives of the National Institute of Professional Technical Training (Infotep), Center for Innovation and Professional Training (Capex), the Santiago Free Trade Zone Corporation (CZFS) and relatives of the participants.
The deputy general director of Infotep, Luis Manuel Rodríguez, highlighted the contribution of the program to strengthening human talent and its importance in responding to the transformations that the productive sector is experiencing, by participating in the fourteenth graduation of Future Entrepreneurs 2026.
“This Technological Development Program constitutes a platform to strengthen the human talent of the Northern Region and the country, through an offer of specialized and innovative training that contributes to sustainable development,” said Rodríguez, who represented the general director of Infotep, Maira Morla Pineda.
For his part, Miguel Lama, president of the Santiago Free Zone Corporation (CZFS) and Funcapex, stated that the training of young people must remain linked to the transformations of the labor market, so that they can acquire and update the tools necessary for their professional development and respond to the new demands of the productive sector.
Lama also highlighted the potential of new generations to take advantage of emerging technologies and the need to continue expanding training opportunities that allow them to develop their capabilities and contribute to digital transformation processes.
In this fourteenth edition, the 160 young people completed their training in the Application Development with Artificial Intelligence and Introduction to Cybersecurity programs, areas considered strategic in the face of the growing incorporation of digital technologies in production processes.
The initiative is developed within the framework of the alliance between Capex and Infotep, which for 15 years has promoted specialized training opportunities for young people in the Northern region, in correspondence with the needs of a constantly evolving productive sector.
Also participating in the event was Desoaris D'Aza, director of the Cibao Norte Regional Directorate of Infotep, the body responsible for organizing and coordinating training offers through its Business Services Department and the Special Programs Division.

Lama resaltó, asimismo, elpotencial de las nuevas generacionespara aprovechar lastecnologías emergentesy la necesidad de continuar ampliando lasoportunidades de capacitaciónque les permitan desarrollar sus capacidades y contribuir a los procesos de transformación digital. En esta decimocuarta edición, los 160 jóvenes completaron su formación en los programas deDesarrollo de Aplicaciones con Inteligencia Artificial e Introducción a la Ciberseguridad, áreas consideradas estratégicas ante la creciente incorporación de tecnologías digitales en los procesos productivos. La iniciativa se desarrolla en el marco de laalianza entre Capex y el Infotep, que durante15 añosha promovido oportunidades decapacitación especializadapara jóvenes de la región Norte, en correspondencia con lasnecesidades de un sector productivoen constante evolución. En el acto también participóDesoaris D’Aza, directora de la Dirección Regional Cibao Norte del Infotep, instancia responsable de organizar y coordinar las ofertas formativas mediante su Departamento de Servicios Empresariales y la División de Programas Especiales.
