This came while His Excellency received the Japanese Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Akiro Endo, where he conveyed to him the Japanese government’s invitation, expressing his country’s keenness to strengthen relations of cooperation and partnership with Iraq. The Prime Minister appreciated the Japanese invitation, stressing the importance and depth of Iraqi-Japanese relations, and Iraq's keenness to develop them in various fields, especially investment and economic. His Excellency indicated that Iraq attaches great importance to building sustainable economic partnerships and expanding joint cooperation in the fields of energy, technology and development, which contributes to building a more effective economic model, calling on Japanese companies to expand their presence and invest in various development sectors in Iraq. For his part, the Japanese ambassador expressed his happiness in conveying his government’s invitation to the Prime Minister to visit Japan, indicating that the visit represents an important step in the path of strengthening bilateral relations, and will open broader horizons for cooperation between the two countries, especially in the economic and investment fields.
