Prime Minister Mr. Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi receives the head and members of the Montaseroon parliamentary bloc •••••••••• Today, Tuesday, Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi received the head of the “Victorious” parliamentary bloc, MP Faleh Hassan Al-Khazali, and members of the bloc. The meeting witnessed the discussion of a number of files and issues related to the service, living, economic and environmental conditions of citizens, in addition to a number of national files. The Prime Minister confirmed that the government has developed an economic vision based on activating the development sectors, in conjunction with the start of preparing the program and performance budget, pointing to the progress in addressing the challenges facing the Iraqi scene, foremost of which is the goal of fighting corruption, drying up its sources, and strengthening institutional work. The Prime Minister indicated the government’s intention to invest oil wealth more effectively, by raising production rates and developing energy-related industries, leading to a gradual shift away from the rentier economy and the oil industry, indicating that the establishment of the Energy City will contribute to generating more job opportunities and opening a wide area for local and foreign investments. The Prime Minister called on the members of the House of Representatives to support and assist the government effort, by adopting the program and performance budget, which would bring about a fundamental change in the country’s economic reality, enhance spending efficiency and link resources to development results and goals. For his part, Mr. Faleh Al-Khazali stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination between the legislative and executive authorities, expressing the bloc’s support for the government’s policies in combating corruption and promoting economic and development reforms. Al-Khazali referred to the bloc’s follow-up and studies on a number of files, especially those related to organizing foreign workers and prosecuting corruption cases, stressing the continuation of supervisory and legislative performance in a way that contributes to supporting the reform process.
