Prime Minister Mr. Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi receives the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Iraq •••••••••• Today, Tuesday, the Prime Minister, Mr. Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Iraq, Mr. Lee Jun-il, who delivered to him a written message from the Korean President, Mr. Lee Jae-myung, in which he expressed his congratulations on the formation of the government, and his emphasis on strengthening relations and partnership with Iraq, in a way that serves the mutual interests of the two friendly countries and peoples, and enables Iraq to overcome the current international economic challenges. During the meeting, His Excellency pointed out the importance of developing bilateral relations between the two countries, and joint work to expand the volume of cooperation in various sectors, especially investment, energy and technology, indicating Iraq’s keenness to cooperate and benefit from the work and expertise of Korean companies operating in various parts of the country. The Prime Minister also stressed the government's interest in attracting more Korean investments to Iraq, especially in areas in which the Korean side has extensive experience and meets the needs of the Iraqi market, such as the automobile industry and electronic industries, pointing to the opportunities and facilities provided by the government in this regard and its efforts to enhance the investment environment and economic reforms. ••••• Media Office of the Prime Minister 11-August-2026
