Prime Minister Mr. Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi chairs the fourteenth regular session of the Council of Ministers •••••••••• Yesterday evening, Tuesday, the Prime Minister, Mr. Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi, chaired the fourteenth regular session of the Council of Ministers, the agenda of which was limited to approving the government program for the years (2026-2029), which was decided to be referred to the House of Representatives, based on the provisions of Article (38/First) of the amended internal regulations of the Council of Ministers (2 of 2019). The concerns of the government program were distributed among (139) priorities, within 14 main sectors, which represented the foundations of the ministerial curriculum of the government of Prime Minister Mr. Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi, which are: Strengthening state sovereignty and national security, economic and financial reform, industry, governance, institutional reform, anti-corruption, health and medical services, communications and information technology, youth and sports, foreign policy, energy, agriculture, water and environment, education, social protection networks and the fight against poverty, human rights, women and children, culture, tourism and antiquities, in addition to (13) pieces of legislation that have priority in the work of the government. The government program included a package of policies, procedures and paths, which represent the objectives of the government’s work, the most important of which are: Adopting a comprehensive national program for institutional reform and combating financial and administrative corruption, reviewing legislation in this regard, strengthening the integrity and transparency system, expanding investment in minerals and non-oil natural resources, accelerating the process of reforming and developing the government banking sector, controlling and unifying border crossings, launching a national strategy for comprehensive digital transformation, empowering national centers for digital transformation and cybersecurity, enhancing confidence in the investment environment, establishing the Supreme Council for Investment, and establishing the Supreme Council for Financial Stability. The program also included devoting efforts to unify the security decision, linking all resources and capabilities to the official state system, and considering the independence of the Iraqi political decision as an essential aspect of Iraqi sovereignty.
