Kuwaiti book stand attracts Syria Summer Festival visitors
Damascus, Aug.12 (SANA)A discount book stand run by Kuwait’s DreamBook Publishingand Distribution is drawing visitors of different ages at theSyria Summer Festival in Damascus, offering a wide selection of cultural and educational titles at reduced prices.
The stand features books onculture, personal development and self-improvement, as well as novels and publications for children, young adults and adults, providing visitors with options for different interests and age groups.
Meshaal Mashouh, who oversees the Dream Book and discount book stand, told SANA that this was the publishing house’s second participation in Syria.
He said the strong turnout during Dream Book’s first participation at a book fair in Syria encouraged the publisher to return for the Syria Summer Festival.
Mashouh said the stand offers a range of titles at reduced prices, with some books selling for as little as SYP 250. The initiative, he said, aims to make books accessible to as broad a section of the public as possible.
Festival visitor Joud Arafa told SANA that the stand offered a wide selection covering different interests. She said she was particularly drawn to the religious publications, especially books featuring reflections and readings related to the Quran.
Arafa said the reduced prices encouraged her to purchase several books.
The festival is part of activities organized by theSyrian Ministry of Cultureand its cooperation with Arab countries and cultural institutions. Its events and initiatives seek to promotecultural exchangeand bring books and knowledge closer to the public while supporting Syria’s cultural presence in the Arab world.
