And this initiative had very broad support because we are not presenting something radical, but what we are really doing is improving the current admissions system, incorporating elements that are currently lacking and that make sense to the public and also to a majority of the members of parliament: restoring merit, restoring spaces for educational institutions to have a say in their admissions processes and thus strengthen their educational projects, convening or ensuring the convening of a group of students from families who are aligned with that project, who are willing to fulfill the duties and responsibilities that this project entails.
