Dia 16, a gente se encontra na Vila Euclides

It all started here, practically. It was the main stage for the workers' struggle. Workers have never achieved anything without struggle, without perseverance, without a willingness to fight to the end. That's what led this country to regain democracy. Here, thousands of workers learned to fight for better wages. Here, thousands of workers learned to develop political awareness. And here, thousands of workers began to think about, for the first time, electing a worker as president of the Republic. If we continue to be united the way we are here, I have no doubt whatsoever. You will emerge from this fight fully clothed. [applause] [music] And every time I set foot here in the state, I'm reminded of how beautiful it was to see this state full of people, full of workers, women, children, demanding freedom, demanding higher wages, until we got to where we are today. The 16th is a big day. Day 16 [music] is for filling the state of Vila Cris. There you will see the beginning of the great victory. August 16th, Vila Euclides, Lula, where it all began.
