Cairo, Aug. 11 (SANA)Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s rejection of the 15-point roadmap for completing the implementation of the comprehensive peace plan in Gaza reflects disregard for international will and the references of the peace process.In a statement published Monday on the League’s account on the X platform, Fahmy said the Israeli position undermines prospects for a peaceful settlement and the establishment of a just and comprehensive peace.Fahmy said that “the continued repeated Israeli violations of the ceasefire, including attacks targeting civilians and medical facilities in theGaza Strip, constitute a flagrant breach of existing commitments and the requirements of relevantUN resolutions.”He welcomed the position expressed by the foreign ministers of eight Arab and Islamic countries in theirstatementissued on Aug. 6 regarding the reported violations.Fahmy reiterated the importance of “the full and serious implementation of the comprehensive peace plan and completing the process established by the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit in October 2025.”He warned that continued attempts to impose new realities in the Gaza Strip and theWest Bankand expand control over Palestinian territories would undermine prospects for establishing a Palestinian state and contradict international law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions.Fahmy called on U.S. President Donald Trump and the international community to ensure the full implementation of the comprehensivepeace planin accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803 of 2025.He urged pressure on the Israeli government to halt violations and fulfill its commitments in a way that preserves prospects for reaching a just and lasting settlement.Last Thursday, foreign ministers from eight Arab and Islamic countries condemned continued Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip, describing them as a serious breach of international law.
