El Salvador impulsa la integración regional
Vice President Félix Ulloa led a space for dialogue with the Ambassadors of the region, with the purpose of discussing strategic issues linked to strengthening the Central American Integration process.
At the meeting, the Ambassador of Belize, Mrs. Lou-Anne Burns; the Ambassador of Guatemala, Mr. Antonio Castellanos;
the Ambassador of Costa Rica, Mrs. Samy Araya; the Ambassador of Honduras, Mr. César Pinto; The Ambassador of Panama, Mr. Enrique Duque and the Ambassador of Nicaragua, Mr. Luis Briones reaffirmed the importance of maintaining permanent communication on the main issues of the regional agenda.
Within the framework of the Pro Tempore Presidency currently held by the Dominican Republic, they discussed the activities carried out during this period and the process related to the upcoming election of the new Secretary General of the General Secretariat of SICA. Likewise, they addressed the training plan promoted by the Vice Presidency of El Salvador, through the basic and specialized Diploma Courses on Central American Integration, where some of the diplomats present have participated, highlighting the need to continue developing the capabilities of officials in the region.
They also talked about the different books and research carried out by the Salvadoran Vice Presidency through the integration team, which address topics of interest such as: the Central American mortgage, social security, the first report on the status of Central American integration, the law of the sea, community law, among others. These academic contributions are aimed at promoting analysis and reflection on the common challenges of the isthmus.
Finally, Vice President Ulloa spoke about the Second International Conference on State and Democracy (CIED), which will be held in San Salvador on November 16 and 17 and also explained that a Conference on the Future of Central America will be held in its third edition. The authorities exchanged perspectives on the main challenges facing the region and agreed on the importance of continuing to work in an articulated manner to advance the Central American Integration process.

El Vicepresidente Félix Ulloa, lideró un espacio de diálogo con los Embajadores de la región, con el propósito de conversar sobre temas estratégicos vinculados al fortalecimiento del proceso de Integración Centroamericana. En el encuentro, la Embajadora de Belice, Sra. Lou-Anne Burns; el Embajador de Guatemala, Sr. Antonio Castellanos; la Embajadora de Costa Rica, Sra. Samy Araya; el Embajador de Honduras, Sr. César Pinto; el Embajador de Panamá, Sr. Enrique Duque y el Embajador de Nicaragua, Sr. Luis Briones reafirmaron la importancia de mantener una comunicación permanente sobre los principales temas de la agenda regional. En el marco de la Presidencia Pro Tempore que ostenta actualmente la República Dominicana, dialogaron sobre las actividades desarrolladas durante este período y el proceso relacionado con la próxima elección del nuevo Secretario General de la Secretaría General del SICA. Asimismo, abordaron el plan de formación impulsado por la Vicepresidencia de El Salvador, a través de los Diplomados sobre la Integración Centroamericana básico y especializado, donde han participado algunos de los diplomáticos presentes, destacando la necesidad de continuar desarrollando las capacidades de los funcionarios de la región. También conversaron sobre los diferentes libros e investigaciones realizados desde la Vicepresidencia salvadoreña por medio del equipo de integración, que abordan temas de interés como: la hipoteca centroamericana, la seguridad social, el primer informe sobre el estado de situación de la integración centroamericana, el derecho del mar, el derecho comunitario, entre otros. Dichos aportes académicos están orientados a promover el análisis y la reflexión sobre los desafíos comunes del istmo. Finalmente, el Vicepresidente Ulloa habló de la II Conferencia Internacional sobre Estado y Democracia (CIED), que se llevará a cabo en San Salvador el 16 y 17 de noviembre y explicó también, que se desarrollará una Conferencia sobre el Futuro de Centroamérica en su tercera edición. Las autoridades intercambiaron perspectivas de los principales retos que enfrenta la región y coincidieron en la importancia de continuar trabajando de manera articulada para avanzar en el proceso de Integración Centroamericana.
