HE The President of the Republic, José Antonio Kast, announced, after leading a meeting of the Climate Emergency Committee in La Moneda, the preventive emergency decree, a measure that will govern between the regions of Arica and Coquimbo. The President made the announcement accompanied by the Minister of the Interior, Claudio Alvarado; the Minister of the Environment, Francisca Toledo; the Minister of Agriculture, Jaime Campos; the Minister of Health, May Chomali; the Undersecretary of the Interior, Máximo Pavez, and the national director of Senapred, Alicia Cebrián. In this regard, the head of State explained that "all the regional and provincial delegations have been activated, in coordination with the different governorates, with the different mayors of the regions of Arica and Parinacota, of Tarapacá, again the Region of Atacama and the Region of Coquimbo. We have also requested coordination from all regional entities. The eventual coordination that has to be done with the Armed Forces, we still have states of exception in the regions of Atacama and Coquimbo, and the Minister of the Interior has also activated all the emergency decrees." At the end of his speech, President Kast called for self-care of the population: "As always, ask citizens for collaboration, respond to official calls from the authorities. Institutionalism in these situations is essential so that the official communication channels are those that give the different notifications." For its part. On the other hand, Minister Alvarado pointed out that the decree allows the procedures for possible aid to be streamlined: "Response times are important and it is necessary to have a prompt and timely reaction to the effects that may occur, both to people and to the infrastructure, and for this purpose this decree allows us to mobilize and have the resources that are necessary to attend to the first phase of the emergency." The announced measure will be in force from today until August 16.

S.E. el Presidente de la República, José Antonio Kast, anunció, tras liderar una reunión del Comité de Emergencia Climática en La Moneda, el decreto de emergencia preventiva, medida que regirá entre las regiones de Arica y Coquimbo. El Mandatario realizó el anuncio acompañado del ministro del Interior, Claudio Alvarado; la ministra de Medio Ambiente, Francisca Toledo; el ministro de Agricultura, Jaime Campos; la ministra de Salud, May Chomali; el subsecretario del Interior, Máximo Pavez, y la directora nacional de Senapred, Alicia Cebrián.Al respecto, el jefe de Estado detalló que "se han activado todas las delegaciones regionales y provinciales, en coordinación con las distintas gobernaciones, con los distintos alcaldes de las regiones de Arica y Parinacota, de Tarapacá, nuevamente la Región de Atacama y la Región de Coquimbo. Les hemos solicitado también la coordinación a todos los entes regionales. La coordinación eventual que tenga que hacerse con las Fuerzas Armadas, tenemos todavía los estados de excepción en las regiones de Atacama y Coquimbo, y el ministro del Interior también ha activado todo lo que son los decretos de emergencia".Al cierre de su alocución, el Presidente Kast hizo un llamado al autocuidado de la población: "Como siempre, solicitarle a la ciudadanía la colaboración, atender a los llamados oficiales de las autoridades. La institucionalidad en estas situaciones es fundamental para que los canales oficiales de comunicación sean aquellos que den las distintas notificaciones".Por su parte, el ministro Alvarado señaló que el decreto permite agilizar los procedimientos para eventuales ayudas: "Los tiempos de respuesta son importantes y es necesario tener una reacción pronta y oportuna ante las afectaciones que se puedan producir, tanto a las personas como en la infraestructura, y para tal efecto este decreto nos permite movilizar, disponer de los recursos que sean necesarios para atender la primera fase de la emergencia".La medida anunciada regirá a partir de hoy hasta el 16 de agosto.
