CTC certifica a 250 jóvenes en Jamao al Norte y fortalece la inclusión digital
Espaillat Province. – The Community Technology Centers (CTC) certified 250 young people and children from the Jamao al Norte municipality, after completing training programs in technological areas and soft skills, as part of their strategy to reduce the digital divide and promote the development of youth talent.
With this graduation, the CTC concluded the “Summer Maker 2026” training camp, an educational initiative focused on promoting maker culture, promoting learning through practice and strengthening the passage of knowledge when creating technology.
The activity brought together local authorities, facilitators, students and families in a space oriented to learning, innovation and growth. During the event, the impact of these trainings on the formation of key skills for employment and entrepreneurship was highlighted.
The municipal mayor, Jairo Morillo Arvelo, valued the initiative and announced that the council will promote an entrepreneurship project to support young people in their productive initiatives.
For his part, the senator of the Espaillat province, Carlos Gómez, highlighted the reach of the CTC throughout the national territory, emphasizing that education and training represent the best investment to transform lives and communities.
The legislator also highlighted the support provided by the Senate for the installation of equipment in the Design and Sublimation area of the center, to reaffirm his commitment to continue managing opportunities, scholarships and training programs for youth.
Meanwhile, the general director of the CTC, Isidro Torres, reiterated the institutional commitment to continuous training, aligned with President Luis Abinader's vision of promoting opportunities for children and youth through digital training and learning of trades.
“We are providing real tools so that our young people can enter the labor market or undertake their own projects, in a context marked by technological advances,” he said.
Among the contents taught during the training day, Responsible Design and Sublimation, Artificial Intelligence for Beginners, Small Business Creation, Digital Marketing, Introduction to Programming, Email Management and Drone Piloting stand out.
During the ceremony, in addition to the general director of the CTC, Isidro Torres, provincial senator Carlos Gómez was present; the deputy Miguel Ferreiras; Dr. Yhonni Alfredo Marte, director of the Municipal Hospital; Santiago Álvarez, executive director of the Provincial Development Plan; Samuel Sosa, municipal director of the presidential administration, and Nancy Guerrero, president of the Aviaula Foundation.
With this initiative, the CTCs continue to consolidate themselves as a key axis in technological training and the promotion of community development in the Dominican Republic.

El legislador destacó además elrespaldo brindado desde la Senaduríapara la instalación de equipos en el área de Diseño y Sublimación del centro, para reafirmar su compromiso de seguir gestionandooportunidades, becas y programas de formación para la juventud. En tanto, el director general de los CTC,Isidro Torres, reiteró el compromiso institucional con laformación continua,alineada con lavisión del presidente Luis Abinaderde impulsar oportunidades para la niñez y la juventud a través de la capacitación digital y el aprendizaje de oficios. “Estamos brindando herramientas reales para que nuestros jóvenes puedan insertarse en el mercado laboral o emprender sus propios proyectos, en un contexto marcado por los avances tecnológicos”, expresó. Entre los contenidos impartidos durante la jornada formativa destacan Diseño y Sublimación Responsable, Inteligencia Artificial para Principiantes, Creación de Pequeños Negocios, Marketing Digital, Introducción a la Programación, Manejo del Correo Electrónico y Pilotaje de Drones. Durante la ceremonia estuvieron presentes, además del director general de los CTC, Isidro Torres, el senador provincial Carlos Gómez; el diputadoMiguel Ferreiras; el Dr.Yhonni Alfredo Marte, director del Hospital Municipal;Santiago Álvarez, director ejecutivo del Plan de Desarrollo Provincial;Samuel Sosa, director municipal de la gestión presidencial, yNancy Guerrero, presidenta de la Fundación Aviaula.
