SNS fortalece servicios diagnósticos en centros de primer nivel de Monte Llano y Aguayo
Santo Domingo.- The executive director of the National Health Service (SNS), Dr. Julio Landrón, left new clinical laboratories in operation at the Antonio Manuel Núñez First Level Care Center, in Monte Llano, Salcedo, and the Flor Sánchez Alberto, in Aguayo, San Francisco de Macorís, this as part of the actions to strengthen the resolution capacity of the first level of care.
In Monte Llano, the laboratory represented an approximate investment of RD 5 million and was built from scratch, with hematology and clinical chemistry equipment that will expand the diagnostic capacity of the center and facilitate access to clinical studies for residents of the community and surrounding areas, including people who visit the place attracted by its natural resources, such as the Partido River.
Meanwhile, the Aguay center laboratory will allow hematology, clinical chemistry and other necessary analyzes to be carried out to support the diagnosis and monitoring of patients, avoiding unnecessary transfers to other health facilities.
During the deliveries, Landrón highlighted that strengthening Primary Care is a priority, as it is the gateway to the health system, and called on staff to maintain humanized care close to the needs of each community.
As part of the expansion of services, the head of the SNS announced the incorporation of X-ray and sonography equipment in both centers, to bring these studies closer to users and reduce trips to hospitals.
In Monte Llano he also ordered the installation of a permanent electrical plant, in addition to expansion and air conditioning work in areas, while in Aguayo he ordered the creation of the spaces required for the new services and guaranteeing the technical personnel necessary for their operation.
Dr. Landrón highlighted that these actions respond to the commitment of the government of President Luis Abinader to continue strengthening the Public Health Network and guarantee timely, dignified and quality diagnostic and care services that are increasingly closer to the communities.
The deliveries included the participation of provincial, municipal and health sector authorities, as well as community representatives.

Durante las entregas, Landrón destacó que elfortalecimiento de la Atención Primariaconstituye unaprioridad, por ser la puerta de entrada al sistema sanitario, y llamó al personal a mantener unaatención humanizada y cercana a las necesidades de cada comunidad. Como parte de la ampliación de los servicios, el titular del SNS anunció laincorporación de equipos de rayos X y sonografía en ambos centros, para acercar estos estudios a los usuarios y reducir los desplazamientos hacia hospitales. EnMonte Llanotambién dispuso lainstalación de una planta eléctrica permanente,además de trabajos deampliación y climatizaciónde áreas, mientras que enAguayoordenó habilitar losespacios requeridospara los nuevos servicios y garantizar el personal técnico necesario para su funcionamiento. El doctor Landrón resaltó que estas acciones responden alcompromiso del gobierno del presidente Luis Abinaderde continuar fortaleciendo la Red Pública de Salud y garantizarservicios diagnósticos y asistenciales oportunos, dignos y de calidadcada vez más cerca de las comunidades.
