OMSA inicia cobro de tarifa integrada de RD 35 en el Corredor 27 de Febrero
Santo Domingo.– The Metropolitan Bus Services Operator (OMSA) announced that starting this Monday, August 10, it will begin commercial operation of the February 27 Corridor with the collection of an integrated fare of RD 35.00, to incorporate this service into the fare and operational integration system with the other modes of mass transportation in Greater Santo Domingo.
The institution explained that this measure will allow users to move more easily, quickly and economically, in addition to strengthening the connection between the OMSA buses and the Integrated Transportation System, thanks to the adopted rate.
As reported by the entity through a press release, payment will be electronic, using the Metro Card, SDGO or Visa and Mastercard contactless bank cards. Although he specified that temporarily, cash payment will be allowed with the exact amount of RD 35.00 in coins, which must be deposited in a metal box that does not offer returns.
How will the integrated rate work?
Users who pay electronically with the Metro and SDGO Card will be able to board the buses of the 27 de Febrero Corridor, Metro and Cable Car, using a single integrated fare of RD 35.00, without paying again, as long as the transfer is made within the established period of 90 minutes.
For users using contactless credit or debit cards, the integration will only work in the OMSA–Metro direction, not in the reverse direction.
Likewise, the OMSA specified that those who choose to pay in cash with the exact amount of RD 35.00 will only be able to use the buses of the 27 de Febrero Corridor and will not have access to the benefit of integrated transfer to the Metro, since this benefit is available exclusively for electronic payments.
The institution also reported that starting this Monday, more buses will be integrated into the February 27 Corridor, articulated buses with a capacity for 160 passengers each, and rigid buses, with a capacity for 90 passengers, with the aim of offering a service with greater capacity, efficiency and comfort to citizens.
With this initiative, the OMSA continues to promote a more modern, safe and integrated mobility system, facilitating the daily trips of thousands of users and contributing to the strengthening of public transportation in Greater Santo Domingo.

Los usuarios que paguen de forma electrónica con la Tarjeta Metro y SDGO, podrán abordar losautobuses del Corredor 27 de Febrero, Metro y Teleférico, utilizando una tarifa integrada única de RD 35.00, sin volver a pagar, siempre que el transbordo se realicedentro del período establecido de 90 minutos. En el caso de los usuarios que utilicentarjetas de crédito o débito sin contacto, la integración funcionará únicamente en elsentido OMSA–Metro, no en la dirección inversa. Asimismo, la OMSA precisó que quienes opten por pagar en efectivo con el monto exacto de RD 35.00 podrán utilizar únicamente los autobuses del Corredor 27 de Febrero y no tendrán acceso al beneficio deltransbordo integrado hacia el Metro, ya que este beneficioestá disponible exclusivamente para los pagos electrónicos. La institución informó, además, que desde este lunesal Corredor 27 de Febrero se integrarán más autobuses, articulados con capacidad para 160 pasajeros cada uno, y rígidos, con capacidad para 90 pasajeros, con el objetivo de ofrecer unservicio de mayor capacidad, eficiencia y comodidad a la ciudadanía. Con esta iniciativa, la OMSA continúa impulsando unsistema de movilidad más moderno, seguro e integrado, facilitando los desplazamientos diarios de miles de usuarios y contribuyendo al fortalecimiento del transporte público en el Gran Santo Domingo.
