In Urumqi and Kashgar, the delegation visited industrial enterprises, transport and logistics infrastructure, cultural and educational institutions, and agricultural facilities. They also engaged in discussions with residents and representatives from various organizations.

The international land port in Urumqi showcases China’s ability to enhance trade and economic connections between East and West, broaden freight transport routes, and optimize international transport corridors. Participants discussed corridor operations, expanding trade relations, and leveraging logistics opportunities.

Uzbekistan finds Urumqi’s experience valuable for increasing access to global markets and developing modern overland transport routes.

In Xinjiang, the delegation visited Yindolan Pharmaceutical Company to observe the production of traditional Chinese and ethnic medicines. The company has developed a comprehensive production chain that includes cultivating medicinal raw materials, processing them, manufacturing finished products, conducting scientific research, and distributing medicines to the market.

During the visit, special focus was given to the efficient use of water resources. Given Uzbekistan’s ongoing water scarcity challenges, the company’s expertise in establishing a water recycling system is especially noteworthy.

In Urumqi, the delegation members visited the Guyuanxiang residential area to observe the social and living environments provided for residents. They also examined the funding sources supporting community development and the processes for handling and reviewing citizen appeals.

In Kashgar’s historic district, the delegation visited the Id Kah Mosque and a memorial museum focused on preserving and developing the area’s heritage. They learned about strategies for maintaining Kashgar’s historic character and architecture, while smoothly blending the old environment with modern urban growth.

The delegation also focused on initiatives to fight desertification and increase green spaces.

During a visit to the protective forest plantations and desertification control sites in Yopurga County’s Dawakun area, delegation members learned about initiatives that integrate environmental protection with agricultural growth and economic development.

In Kashgar, the delegation toured an agricultural technology development company. In Jiashi County, they visited a modern industrial park focused on cultivating new plum varieties. The visit emphasized crop breeding, product processing and marketing, brand building, and efforts to boost household incomes.

Over several days, key development areas such as industry, transport, logistics, agriculture, environmental sustainability, cultural heritage preservation, and public welfare were recognized as interconnected. The delegation examined each aspect considering Uzbekistan’s needs and opportunities. Notably, potential cooperation was identified in developing transport corridors, efficient water resource use, advanced processing of agricultural products, fighting desertification, and supporting local community activities.
