Dozens killed and injured in mutual Russian-Ukrainian attacks
Moscow, Kyiv, Aug. 10 (SANA)Russian and Ukrainian authorities reported Monday that dozens of people were killed and injured in reciprocal attacks, with Tatarstan officials announcing 12 deaths following a Ukrainian drone strike and Kyiv reporting five deaths in Russian shelling.Sputnik news agency quoted the press service of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov as saying that Ukrainian forces targeted industrial and civilian facilities in the city of Nizhnekamsk with drones. The preliminary toll from the attack was 12 people killed and 39 others injured.Meanwhile, the Office of the Prosecutor General in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region said that Russian forces carried out heavy artillery shelling on a residential area in the village of Puhaiivka in Chuhuiv district.The Ukrainian statement said the shelling destroyed several homes and resulted in the deaths of five people.The Russia-Ukraine conflict has seen continued reciprocal attacks, with Ukraine carrying out long-range strikes against targets inside Russian territory in recent months, while Russia continues missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities, including the capital Kyiv.
