Syria, Türkiye’s HAVELSAN discuss cybersecurity cooperation
Damascus, Aug. 9 (SANA)TheNational Authority for Information Technology Services(NAITS) met on Sunday with a delegation from Türkiye’s HAVELSAN to discuss ways to develop digital document software and mechanisms for activating digital signatures to enhance the governance and protection of electronic transactions.
The discussions included the launch of a joint specialized training program incybersecurityto enhance the readiness of national cadres in facing and managing digital threats, according to a statement on the authority’s Facebook page.
The two sides also discussed areas of coordination, cooperation and expertise exchange in developing technical capabilities and strengthening the security of systems, services and sensitive infrastructure, the authority added.
The talks are part of the authority’s efforts to benefit from technical expertise, develop national capacities, and explore partnerships that supportdigital transformationand enhance technological cooperation between Syria and neighboring countries.
HAVELSAN, established in 1982, is one of Türkiye’s leading defense and advanced technology companies, operating as a subsidiary of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (TSKGV).
