Three Palestinians wounded by Israeli gunfire in Gaza, arrests reported in West Bank

Occupied Jerusalem, Aug. 9 (SANA)Three Palestinians, including a child, were wounded byIsraeli occupation forcesin the southernGaza Stripon Sunday, while Palestinians were also arrested in theWest Bankamid continued attacks on property and farmland.

Two Palestinians, including a child, were wounded by Israeli army gunfire in the al-Najjar neighborhood in central Khan Younis, while another Palestinian was wounded in the al-Dhahra area west of the city, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

Israeli artillery also shelled areas east of Khan Younis, WAFA said.

In the West Bank, Israeli forces arrested two Palestinians in the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, and another Palestinian in the town of al-Issawiya, north of occupied Jerusalem.

Israeli occupation forces also entered Qalqilya with several military vehicles through the city’s main eastern entrance and deployed in the al-Naqqar neighborhood.

Separately, Israeli settlers entered Palestinian-owned land in several areas of the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate and carried out acts of vandalism, according to WAFA.

Settlers also cut down dozens of fruit trees overnight on land in Khirbet Farsin, west of Jenin.

Khirbet Farsin has faced repeated settler attacks involving farmland, trees and farmers, amid an increase in attacks on Palestinian property and livelihoods.
