According to BELTA, citing the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the parties discussed issues related to expanding cooperation between the Chairman of the State Customs Committee, Vladimir Orlovsky, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Belarus, Nurriddin Mamajonov.

The talks focused primarily on measures to increase trade flows between the two countries. It was noted that bilateral trade is expected to double in the coming years. The corresponding task was set by the heads of state following their recent talks in Minsk.

The practical implementation of the provisions of the Agreement between the governments of Uzbekistan and Belarus on the mutual use of electronic systems for certifying the origin of goods, signed in 2024, was discussed. The introduction of this digital mechanism will help simplify mutual trade and increase trade turnover.

In addition, the parties signed an Agreement on the mutual recognition of authorized economic operator programs. The Agreement provides for several customs simplifications that will be available to participants in foreign economic activity in both countries.

Following the meeting, representatives of the State Customs Committee of Belarus and the Embassy of Uzbekistan identified promising areas for practical cooperation to increase the volume of bilateral trade.
