Le Bénin sur le podium des Olympiades Internationales d’Intelligence Artificielle (IOAI) 2026
Benin distinguished itself at the 3rd edition of the International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (IOAI), which was held in Astana, Kazakhstan. For its second participation in this international competition, Benin recorded a historic performance. Out of 437 candidates representing 106 countries, two young Beninese talents were distinguished: ●Bronze medal: GUIDIMADJEGBE Emmanuel Christiano, student at the Notre-Dame de Lourdes Catholic College in Porto-Novo; ●Honorable mention: NGUEBOU Raphael, student at the Lycée Technique F.M. Coulibaly in Cotonou. This performance allows Benin to climb to 3rd place African. It constitutes a first for the country in this competition, after an honorable mention obtained during its first participation in the IOAI, in Beijing, in 2025. Congratulations to Christiano, Raphaël, to the six other members of the Beninese delegation, for their commitment and their journey, as well as to the mentors, supervisors and all the teams who contributed to this participation. This performance illustrates the progress made in the development of Beninese skills in artificial intelligence and the importance given to the emergence of a new generation of talents in the fields of digital technology and innovation. Through training and the development of skills, the Government is pursuing its ambition to make digital technology and artificial intelligence levers of development and competitiveness for Benin. Benin thus confirms its ability to bring out talents capable of carrying out its ambitions in technological fields.

Le Bénin s’est distingué à la 3ᵉ édition des Olympiades internationales d’intelligence artificielle (IOAI), qui se sont tenues à Astana, au Kazakhstan. Pour sa deuxième participation à cette compétition internationale, le Bénin enregistre une performance historique.
