Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi Chairs the Second Session of the Supreme Council for Financial and Monetary Stability ••••• Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi chaired today, Saturday, the second session of the Supreme Council for Financial and Monetary Stability, with the participation of the heads and directors of the relevant entities and institutions. During the session, several issues related to the financial, monetary, and economic situation at the national level were discussed, as well as current indicators and challenges, and ways to strengthen coordination and integration between fiscal and monetary policies, thereby enhancing financial and economic stability. The Council also discussed mechanisms to improve the management of non-oil resources and ensure liquidity, support economic and banking reform efforts, and enhance the efficiency of the financial system, thereby contributing to consolidating stability and creating a more sustainable economic environment. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and joint efforts among the relevant ministries and institutions, following up on the implementation of the decisions and recommendations issued by the Council, and adopting practical measures to address financial and monetary challenges in a manner that maintains economic stability, strengthens the national economy’s ability to respond to changing conditions, and stimulates economic activities, particularly non-oil activities. ••••• Media Office of the Prime Minister August 8, 2026
