Vicepresidenta Raquel Peña entrega 450 títulos de propiedad a igual número de familias de Guayacanal, en Azua
Pueblo Viejo, Azua.–Vice President Raquel Peña delivered this Saturday 450 property titles out of a total of 759, which will benefit 1,800 people in the community of Guayacanal, in the municipality of Pueblo Viejo, Azua province, who, with this documentation, put an end to years of waiting and obtain legal security for their homes, lots and plots.
The delivery is part of the actions carried out by the government of President Luis Abinadera through the National Titling Plan, with the purpose of guaranteeing Dominican families the right to property and providing them with greater legal security over their assets.
To make this project possible, the State Land Title Execution Technical Unit (UTECT), together with National Assets, developed a broad and rigorous technical, social and legal process that allowed intervention in a geographical area of 12,970,927.06 square meters in the community of Guayacanal.
Raquel Peña: A path of new opportunities opens
Speaking a few brief words, Vice President Raquel Peña stated that with the delivery of these documents, peace of mind is provided and a path of new opportunities is opened for the beneficiary families. Likewise, he assured that, from now on, they will have legal security over their properties and will be able to undertake new projects with greater confidence.
Likewise, he highlighted President Luis Abinadera's permanent monitoring of the titling projects that are carried out in different communities in the national territory, as well as his support for the National Titling Plan.
Commitment to convert each degree goal into a concrete reality
For his part, the executive director of the Technical Execution Unit for State Land Titling (UTECT), Duarte Méndez, stated that the human vision and determination that distinguish the management of President Luis Abinader have transformed the reality of thousands of Dominican homes.
“Your permanent support motivates us to continue working with efficiency and transparency, reaffirming our commitment to convert each titling goal into a concrete reality, so that Dominican families can receive their property titles in a simple, secure manner and with full legal guarantee,” said Méndez.
This titling process also represents an important economic benefit for favored families, generating an estimated saving of RD 36 million, an amount that they would have had to disburse if the procedure had been carried out privately.
Thanks to this process, the 450 beneficiaries received their property titles without assuming the cost of the procedures, which constitutes an economic relief and, at the same time, allows them to have a document that legally guarantees their rights over their properties.
The day represents the culmination of a long process for the beneficiary families, many of whom waited for years for the definitive regularization of their land. With the delivery of the titles, the owners now have greater peace of mind, legal security and new possibilities to take advantage of the value of their assets.
The institution reaffirmed its commitment to continue working with efficiency, transparency and social sense, with the objective of converting each titling project into a definitive solution and guaranteeing that more Dominican families can receive their property titles in a simple, secure manner and with full legal guarantee.
Present at the activity were Rafael Burgos, general director of National Assets, the CEA and Corde; María Minerva Navarro, governor of the province of Azua; Lía Ynocencia Díaz Santana, senator, and Óscar Amargós, vice minister of the Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic (Minerd).
Also participating were Juan Estévez, vice minister of Minerd; Víctor Figuereo, mayor of the municipality of Pueblo Viejo; Rafael Hidalgo, mayor of Azua; deputies Rosendy Polanco and Johanny Martínez; Héctor Pérez Mirambeaux, general director of the National Cadastre, as well as councilors and other local authorities.
