President Masoud Pezeshkian vows that the Iranian people will stand against the United States “until the end” under any decision made by Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei.

Pezeshkian made the remarks at a press conference on Saturday, coinciding with Iran’s National Journalists’ Day, where he also paid tribute to the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and those killed in the recent US-Israeli aggression.

“The war commanders know better than you and me whether we should fight or not. They know their own power. The leadership decides, and whatever decision they make, we will stand until the end,” Pezeshkian said.

The president went on to say that the country would remain steadfast even in the face of severe risks, adding that he was not afraid of fighting or remaining in the field.

“I am not afraid of fighting and staying; not only am I not afraid, but we often put ourselves in danger by doing so,” he said.

Pezeshkian also said he was prepared to face the consequences of standing by the country’s decisions.

“Now, they may assassinate us one day; well, let them,” he added.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Pezeshkian said the path, words, outlook and conduct of the late Leader would remain alive in the minds of Iranians as a path they should continue to follow.

The president further stressed that differences of opinion are natural and unavoidable in any society, saying the goal should not be to eliminate disagreements but to highlight common ground and issues that bring people together.

“The art is to highlight the areas where our views and preferences are shared and bring them to the forefront, rather than finding points of disagreement, magnifying them and constantly emphasizing them,” he said.

Pezeshkian also emphasized the importance of the media in strengthening social and national cohesion, saying their assistance in fostering unity inside the country is particularly important under the current circumstances.

He warned that the United States, Israel and their analysts understand that a country can no longer be forced into submission solely through war and missiles, but that internal divisions, discord and conflict can create conditions for such an outcome.

Pezeshkian further urged all sectors of society to help prevent the deepening of social and political divisions, saying the country is facing an “all-out war” and that everyone must work together to overcome the challenges.

“All must help and join hands so that we can resolve the problems,” he said.
