Damascus, Aug. 8 (SANA)The Information Security Center(ISC)at theNational Authority for Information Technology Services(NAITS) warned of the “Vipere” tool, which can exploit vulnerabilities in Windows systems andVisual Studioprograms to conduct malicious activities and evade protection systems.

The ISC recommended regularly updating systems, avoiding the installation of programs and libraries from untrusted sources, and enabling advanced security features on devices.

The ISC is responsible for contributing to the protection of institutions and digital infrastructure from growing cyber threats through information-security strategies, data protection, response to cyberattacks and security awareness.

NAITSis a public institution affiliated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, responsible for digital transformation, electronic certification, information security, and Internet domain services.
