Houston, Aug 8, (SANA)Oil pricesrose at the close of trading on Friday, withBrentcrude gaining $1.06, or 1.3%, to settle at $83.55 a barrel.

Reuters reported that U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose 89 cents, or 1.15%, to settle at $78.18 a barrel.

Oil prices have gained more than 3% over the past two sessions, with Brent crude regaining momentum and moving above $80 a barrel after falling below that level earlier.kA.MZN
