Le Président Ndayishimiye s’entretient avec des membres de la diaspora burundaise
The President of the Republic of Burundi and Acting President of the African Union, His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye, received in audience on the morning of this Friday, August 7, 2026, at the Presidential Palace of Gitega, a Delegation from the Economic Community of Central African States, led by Madame Rosario Mbasogo Kung Ngüdand, President of the Council of Ministers of the said Community.
The purpose of the trip was, in particular, to present to His Excellency the Burundian President a report in restitution format, which focused on the Conference of Heads of State of the Community which was held last year in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
Speaking to the Press, the President of the Council of Ministers of the ECCAS suggested that the restitution of the Summit of Heads of State in Malabo was carried out by a circular mission whose object was to present the new Government of the Community, but also other points interesting the life of the Community, including the question of arrears of contributions from member States of the Communities.
It should be noted that regarding these arrears of contributions, for the case of Burundi, the Burundian Head of State wanted to reassure the delegation that there is no danger in the matter, and for good reason, the Burundian has already cleared its arrears to the tune of 60% last year, while in the 2026-2027 budget forecasts he took these obligations into account.

Le Président de la République du Burundi et Président en Exercice de l’Union Africaine, Son Excellence Evariste Ndayishimiye, a reçu en audience dans la matinée de ce vendredi 7 aout 2026, au Palais présidentiel de Gitega, une Délégation de la Communauté Economique des Etats de l’Afrique Centrale, conduite par Madame Rosario Mbasogo Kung Ngüdand, Présidente du Conseil des Ministres de ladite Communauté. L’objet du déplacement consistait, notamment, à présenter à Son Excellence le Président burundais un rapport au format de restitution, laquelle portait sur la Conférence des Chefs d’Etat de la Communauté qui s’est tenue l’an passé en République de Guinée Équatoriale. S’exprimant devant la Presse, la Présidente du Conseil des Ministre de la CEEAC a laissé entendre que la restitution du Sommet des Chefs d”État de Malabo était diligentée d’une mission circulaire dont l’objet était de présenter le nouveau Gouvernement de la Communauté, mais aussi d’autres points intéressant la vie de la Communauté, dont la question des Arriérées des cotisations des Etats membres de la Communautés. Il s’indique de préciser que concernant ces arriérées de Cotisation, pour le cas du Burundi, le Chef de l’Etat burundais a tenu a rassurer la délégation qu’il n’y a pas péril en la demeure, et pour cause, le Burundais a déjà appuré ses arriérées à hauteur de 60% l’an dernier, alors que dans les prévisions budgétaires 2026-2027 il a tenu compte de ces obligations.
