Presidente Abinader llega a Cali para participar en la transmisión de mando presidencial de Colombia
Cali, Colombia.–President Luis Abinader arrived this Friday, at 10:40 in the morning (local time), at the Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport, in Cali, Colombia, where he will participate in the official acts of transmission of presidential command from Abelardo de la Espriella, who will assume the Constitutional Presidency of the Republic of Colombia.
The investiture ceremony is scheduled to be held this Friday, August 7, at the USC Arena of the Santiago de Cali University.
Upon arrival, President Abinader was received by the ambassador of the Dominican Republic in Colombia, Félix Aracena; the director of Strategy and Government Communication (Diecom), Félix Reyna; the protocol ambassador of Colombia, Raúl Sánchez, and other civil and military authorities.
Later, he received the corresponding military honors.
The Dominican president arrived in Colombian territory accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Álvarez, in response to an official invitation, as part of the strengthening of diplomatic relations and cooperation between the Dominican Republic and Colombia.
As part of his agenda in the city of Cali, President Abinaders will hold bilateral meetings with invited leaders and high authorities, prior to the start of the official ceremony.
Likewise, he will participate in the protocol greeting that the elected president of Colombia, Abelardo de la Espriella, and his wife, Ana Lucía Pineda, will offer to the heads of State and Government, vice presidents and other attending authorities.
Subsequently, the head of state will participate in the presidential transmission ceremony, in which Abelardo de la Espriella will formally assume the Constitutional Presidency of the Republic of Colombia.
President Abinader and the official delegation are scheduled to return to the Dominican Republic this Friday night.

Como parte de su agenda en la ciudad de Cali, elpresidente Abinadersostendráreuniones bilateralescon mandatarios y altas autoridades invitadas, previo al inicio de la ceremonia oficial. Asimismo, participará en elsaludo protocolarque ofrecerán elpresidente electo de Colombia, Abelardo de la Espriella, y su esposa,Ana Lucía Pineda, a los jefes de Estado y de Gobierno, vicepresidentes y demás autoridades asistentes. Posteriormente, el jefe de Estado participará en laceremonia de transmisión de mando presidencial, en la que Abelardo de la Espriella asumirá formalmente la Presidencia Constitucional de la República de Colombia. Está previsto que el presidente Abinader y la delegación oficial regresen a la República Dominicanala noche de este viernes.
