Brussels, Aug. 7 (SANA)The European Union has adopted new sanctions targeting five individuals linked to Russia’s military-industrial sector,EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallassaid on Friday.In a post on the X platform, Kallas said the measures were taken in response to recent Russian airstrikes on Ukraine, urging theEuropean Unionto maintain pressure on Moscow until, as she said, the conflict ends.The move comes after Britain announced new sanctions on Thursday targeting 19 Russian entities and organizations in an effort to restrict what it described as Moscow’s financing of the conflict in Ukraine.Ukrainian authorities said six people were killed and dozens injured on Thursday in Russian airstrikes that struck several areas of Ukraine.F.J./M.F.
