Mecca, Aug. 7 (SANA)Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Pakistan signed a mutual defense agreement in Mecca on Friday aimed at strengthening security cooperation among the three countries and enhancing collective deterrence.According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the agreement was signed during the Mecca Mutual Defense Summit and is intended to strengthen collective deterrence against any attack.Under the agreement, an armed attack against any one of the three countries would be considered an attack against all three. It also provides for developing cooperation across various areas of defense.The summit was attended by Saudi Crown Prince and Prime MinisterMohammed bin Salman, Turkish President Recep TayyipErdoğan, and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Royal Court in Al-Safa Palace in Mecca.The three leaders reviewed relations among their countries and discussed issues of common interest.F.J./M.F.
