They also exchanged views on ongoing efforts and talks aimed at halting military operations and ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.Hussein reviewedIraq’s position regarding regional challenges, warning of the risks of military operations in the Strait of Hormuz extending to the Red Sea andBab-el-Mandeb Strait, and the possible consequences for international navigation security and global trade.The Iraqi foreign minister stressed the importance of supporting international efforts aimed at strengthening security and stability, reducing escalation, and protecting the global economy and regional security.The two sides also discussed prospects for developing bilateral relations and strengthening joint cooperation in various fields serving the mutual interests of both countries.kA/M.F
