Mulino participa en toma de posesión del presidente de Colombia
This Friday, August 7, in the morning, President José Raúl Mulino will travel to Cali, Colombia, to participate in the inauguration of the new president Abelardo de la Espriella, an event that will take place at the USC Arena of the University of Cali, at 3 in the afternoon. Mulino will be received with honors at the Alfonso Bonilla Aragón Airport by Colombian authorities, including the outgoing chancellor, Rosa Villavicencio, and the designated chancellor of the new government, Omar Bula Escobar. President Mulino's agenda prior to the inauguration includes bilateral meetings with the new Colombian president Abelardo de la Espriella and with the Minister of State for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Reem Al Hashimy. Both leaders will address key issues of cooperation, electrical interconnection, security and organized crime, commercial and diplomatic relations, as well as an extraordinary alliance to promote investments in tourism. Accompanying President Mulino, the chancellor, Javier Martínez-Acha; the Minister of Commerce and Industries, Julio Moltó; Frank Ábrego, Minister of Security, and the ambassador of Panama in Colombia, Mario Boyd Galindo. In a meeting held in Cali, between the Panamanian advance party and the Colombian authorities, they maintained that the safety of all the people who will attend this ceremony is guaranteed. The Colombian Government maintains 21 checkpoints 24 hours a day to consolidate security at the inauguration and have taken various measures, including: restriction of cargo mobility for movements and handling and motorcycles, dry law decree, restriction of drones and carrying of weapons and helicopter overflights. In addition to President Mulino, confirmed in this ceremony are the King of Spain, Felipe VI; the presidents Javier Milei, from Argentina; Daniel Noboa, from Ecuador; Santiago Peña, from Paraguay; Laura Fernández, from Costa Rica; Luis Abinader, from the Dominican Republic; José Antonio Kast, from Chile; and Nasry Asfura, from Honduras. Once the protocol ceremony is over, President Mulino and the ministers accompanying him will return to Panama on the same Friday.
