To meet the fuel requirements of electricity generation plants, the Council voted to exempt contracts for the import and export of petroleum products, as well as the disposal of surplus petroleum products, from the audit procedures of the Federal Board of Supreme Audit. This exemption shall remain in effect from the date of issuance of the decision until the exceptional maritime conditions in the Gulf region have ended and tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has resumed, thereby supporting the uninterrupted loading of petroleum products at Iraqi ports, loading platforms, and floating storage facilities within Iraq’s territorial waters.
