Contractor Tjongalanga N.V. is currently carrying out rehabilitation work on Domineestraat on behalf of the Ministry of Public Works and Spatial Planning (OWRO).
In consultation with the contractor, it was decided to reduce the intended duration of the work to approximately two weeks, subject to unforeseen circumstances. The work is supervised by the Motor Surveillance Service (MSD) of the Suriname Police Force (KPS).
The OWRO team and the contractor will further inspect the site together with the police to identify any bottlenecks and take appropriate action where necessary.
To ensure that the work runs as smoothly as possible, work will continue into the evenings in the coming period. Road users are asked to take traffic disruption into account and to follow the instructions of the police and traffic supervisors.
The ministry thanks society for its understanding and cooperation during the execution of the work.

Home»Uitvoering werkzaamheden Domineestraat verkort Aannemingsbedrijf Tjongalanga N.V. is momenteel in opdracht van het ministerie van Openbare Werken en Ruimtelijke Ordening (OWRO) bezig met rehabilitatiewerkzaamheden aan de Domineestraat. In samenspraak met de aannemer is besloten de beoogde uitvoeringsduur van de werkzaamheden terug te brengen naar circa twee weken, onder voorbehoud van onvoorziene omstandigheden. De werkzaamheden worden begeleid door de Motor Surveillance Dienst (MSD) van het Korps Politie Suriname (KPS). Het team van OWRO en de aannemer zullen samen met de politie de locatie verder inspecteren om eventuele knelpunten in kaart te brengen en waar nodig passende maatregelen te treffen. Om de werkzaamheden zo vlot mogelijk te laten verlopen, wordt er de komende periode doorgewerkt tot in de avonduren. Weggebruikers worden gevraagd rekening te houden met verkeershinder en de aanwijzingen van de politie en verkeersbegeleiders op te volgen.
