President El-Sisi Meets King of Bahrain H.M. King Hamad bin Isa

Today, at the Presidential Palace in New Alamein City, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The meeting was attended by senior officials from both sides, and the talks were held over a working luncheon hosted in honor of His Majesty the King and the accompanying delegation.

Spokesman for the Presidency Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy stated that the President welcomed His Majesty's visit to his second home, Egypt, praising the continuous development of Egyptian-Bahraini relations.

President El-Sisi emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation across various fields, particularly in the economic, trade, and investment sectors. The President also stressed the need to intensify strategic consultations and political coordination between the two countries in order to preserve regional peace and stability and to build upon the existing convergence of views regarding various regional issues.

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa expressed his pride in visiting Egypt and extended his gratitude and appreciation to President El-Sisi for the warm hospitality and generous reception.His Majesty also welcomed the tangible progress achieved in bilateral relations over the recent period and affirmed Bahrain's keenness to expand its ties with Egypt to broader horizons, reflecting the deep-rooted fraternity between the two countries at both the official and popular levels.

In this context, the two leaders reaffirmed the importance of continuing efforts to develop bilateral relations in a manner that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples and contributes to advancing their shared goals of development and progress.

The discussions further touched on the latest developments in the region. President El-Sisi reiterated Egypt's support for the Kingdom of Bahrain and for all measures it takes to safeguard its security and stability. The President also underscored Egypt's condemnation of the Iranian attacks that targeted Bahraini territory, asserting that Bahrain's security is an integral part of Egypt's national security.His Majesty the King valued Egypt’s stance and expressed Bahrain's appreciation for Egypt's support for the kingdom's security and stability as well as the measures taken to protect its people amid the current regional circumstances.

The King of Bahrain also emphasized the importance of continued coordination between the two countries to address the challenges facing Arab states, avoid escalation, and achieve stability in the Middle East. The two leaders further stressed the need to resolve crises through dialogue and peaceful means and to make every effort to prevent escalation and bring wars and conflicts to an end.

The talks also tackled developments regarding the Palestinian cause. The two leaders reaffirmed the need for all parties to abide by the agreement to halt the war in the Gaza Strip, including ensuring the unhindered flow of humanitarian aid and creating the conditions necessary for early recovery and reconstruction efforts.

They also stressed the significance of advancing toward a comprehensive and just settlement of the Palestinian cause in accordance with international legitimacy and on the basis of the two-state solution, including the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

His Majesty the King expressed his wishes for Egypt's continued progress and prosperity, affirming Bahrain's full solidarity with Egypt and its support for all measures Egypt takes to safeguard its security and stability. The President expressed his appreciation for this kind gesture.
