For more than three decades we have been waiting for the railway connection with Bulgaria to become a reality. Today I can say with pleasure that we have finally completed this project with a clear financial structure and a complete vision. Instead of a project that will end in a "half tunnel", we have provided a functional entity that will connect the two countries, with strong support from the European Union, the European Investment Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and a grant of 169 million euros. Повеќе од три децении чекавме железничкото поврзување со Бугарија да стане реалност. Денес можам со задоволство да кажам дека конечно го заокруживме овој проект со јасна финансиска конструкција и целосна визија. Наместо проект што ќе заврши на „половина тунел“, обезбедивме функционална целина што ќе ги поврзе двете држави, со силна поддршка од Европската Унија, Европската инвестициска банка, Европската банка за обнова и развој и грант од 169 милиони евра.
