Four injured in Israeli airstrikes on Tyre district in southern Lebanon
Beirut, Aug. 6 (SANA)Four people were injured in intensive Israeli airstrikes on the Tyre district insouthernLebanonduring a broadIsraeli assaultthat continued from Wednesday evening into Thursday morning, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA).The agency said Israeli drones carried out three airstrikes on the Al-Malab neighborhood in the town of Bourj el-Shemali, followed by a fourth strike by a warplane targeting the same location. The attacks injured four people, who were transferred to hospitals in Tyre, while residents were reported to have fled the town toward the city.Israeli warplanes also launched three airstrikes on the town of Mansouri and the area between Mansouri and Majdal Zoun, while artillery shelling and tank fire simultaneously targeted Mansouri.Artillery shelling continued from Wednesday evening until Thursday morning, targeting Mansouri, Majdal Zoun and nearby valleys. At dawn, shelling extended to the outskirts of Haddatha, while Israeli forces also opened machine-gun fire toward the coastal Hamra area in Bayut al-Siyad.On Wednesday, one person was killed and 11 others were injured in anIsraeli airstrikethat struck the roof of a prayer hall at the cemetery in the town of Tebnine in the Bint Jbeil district. Other Israeli airstrikes also sparked fires in wooded areas.
