Damascus, Aug. 5 (SANA)Head of theNational Authority for Missing PersonsMohammad Reda Jalkhi discussed on Wednesday withAlnur Shah Huseynov, chargé d’affaires of theAzerbaijani Embassyin Damascus, prospects for cooperation and the exchange of expertise in areas related to the authority’s work.

The discussions focused on supporting the Authority’s efforts, strengthening its institutional capabilities, and upholding the right of families of missing persons to know the truth.

Huseynov was briefed during the meeting on the Authority’s mandate, responsibilities, and national efforts to determine the fate of missing persons and support their families, according to the Authority’s media office.

Jalkhi stressed the importance of cooperation with international partners in developing national capacities in a way that enhances the authority’s work and serves families of missing persons, while maintaining national leadership of the missing persons file.
