President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the AA. Ukulhas Island Council, the Women's Development Committee (WDC), and heads of local institutions to discuss key priorities for the island's development. The meeting took place this afternoon at the Ukulhas Convention Centre.

During the meeting, council members highlighted several critical needs, including additional housing units to address the housing shortage, further land reclamation adjacent to the existing reclaimed area, and the provision of essential infrastructure, including water, sewerage, electricity, and roads, on the reclaimed land. They also detailed land allocation constraints hindering the expansion of the island's powerhouse. Furthermore, the Council requested that waste management operations be transferred to WAMCO and called for measures to ensure affordable fuel prices.

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu assured those present that the matters raised would receive due consideration, while Cabinet Ministers provided updates on ongoing development projects across the island.
