6.3-magnitude earthquake strikes off southern Philippine’s coast
Manila, Aug.5 (SANA)A magnitude 6.3earthquakestruck off the southern coast of thePhilippineson Wednesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, with no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
TheU.S. Geological Surveysaid the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles), with its epicenter located about 32 kilometers (20 miles) southwest of Sarangani Island, near the southern Philippine Island of Mindanao.
No tsunami warning was issued following the earthquake, and there were no immediate reports of injuries or significant property damage. The earthquake occurred nearly two months after a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck neighboring Mindanao on June 8, killing 78 people and causing building collapses and landslides
