Damascus, Aug. 5 (SANA)TheSyrian Electricity Company (SEC)on Wednesday signed three agreements withSaudi Arabia‘s Al-Harfi Construction company in the field of energy production at the company’s headquarters inDamascus.SANA’s correspondent reported that the agreements cover the implementation of solar power projects in the Widyan ar-Rabi’ area in Damascus Countryside with a total generation capacity of 760 megawatts (MW), supported by battery energy storage systems with a capacity of 1,077 MW.In February, the General Establishment for Electricity Transmission and Distribution (PETDE) signed a memorandum of understanding with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Harfi Construction company to implement a 210 MW solar energy project supported by battery energy storage systems with a capacity of 827 megawatt-hours (MWh).
