Idlib, Aug. 4 (SANA)IdlibGovernor Mohammed Abdulrahman met on Tuesday with a delegation from theNorwegian Refugee Council(NRC) to discuss the council’s activities in the province, ongoing projects and future expansion plans in service and development sectors.

The delegation included Regional Director Angelita Caredda, Country Director Federico Jachetti, and North-Western Region Office Manager Mohammad Samer, according to the governorate statement on Telegram.

The two sides discussed directing future projects in line with priority needs identified in the province’s assessment matrix, to improve service delivery and support local development efforts.

Both sides stressed the importance of strengthening partnership and joint coordination to enhance humanitarian response efficiency and ensure interventions are directed according to community needs and the requirements of the coming phase.

The meeting was attended by Idlib Executive Office member Mujahid al-Nais and the governorate’sInternational CooperationDirector Abdul Qader al-Yousef.

In late June, Governor Abdulrahman discussed withOCHA‘s Acting Director in Syria Oscar Chavez the humanitarian situation in the province, its basic needs and priority interventions for the coming period.

The Norwegian Refugee Council has been active in Syria since 2013, providing humanitarian assistance including shelter, water and sanitation, education and livelihood support to displaced and war-affected communities across the country.
