Press Release A spokesman for the Ministry of National Defense of the Kingdom of Cambodia would like to inform the public, national and international journalists: On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 09:21 AM, the Coordinating Group (CLG) of the Kingdom of Cambodia coordinated the ASEAN Observer Team – Cambodia: AOT-KH led by the Chair of the ASEAN Observer Team (AOT KH HOM) from the Republic of the Philippines. (Unity Post) is located in Kdep Thmor Village, Kouk Romiet Commune, Thmor Puok District, Banteay Meanchey Province. The purpose of this observation is to provide ASEAN observers with a comprehensive understanding and based on direct observation of the situation in the border areas, as well as to demonstrate the position of the Royal Government of Cambodia, which has always adhered to the peaceful settlement of border issues through dialogue and bilateral mechanisms in accordance with international law, the existing bilateral agreement and the mandate of the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC). Cambodia remains steadfast in defending the Cambodia-Thailand international border left behind by the Indochina-Siamese Border Commission, in accordance with the principles of international law, the Uti Possidetis Juris, and the Franco-Siamese Treaty Convention. And the Memorandum of Understanding between the Indochina-Siam Border Commission, the 2000 TOR 2003, and the relevant agreements and documents previously agreed upon by both sides to resolve disputes peacefully and achieve lasting peace between our two countries.
